Dancing is definitely fun and enjoyable!

The constant movement is not just great for your physical health, but also your mental well-being! We’ve got 10 great reasons to keep dancing

(even if you think you’re uncoordinated or an amateur).

Dance can lead to:

1. Better Brain Health

2. Improved Flexibility

3. Minimized Stress

4. Reduced Depression

5. Weight Loss

6. Increased Energy

7. Improved Cardiovascular Health

8. Better Coordination Strength & Balance

9. Improved Social & Emotional Health

10. Higher Self-Esteem & Confidence

Studies show that dancers tend to report higher levels of self-esteem and more confidence.

Dance can be beneficial for people of all ages. Many forms, such as ballroom dancing, can be tame enough for people with limited mobility or chronic health issues, while other forms can allow kids to express themselves freely, let out their energy, and practice discipline by memorizing and learning certain steps.

So, crank up the music, play your favorite song, and start moving! Make dance a part of your overall health and wellness routine.

What to wear to dance class

You will want to wear performance active wear to a dance class since dance classes are typically high intensity. We do not recommend wearing anything that you cannot move freely in, like tight jeans. Stick with performance gear, like shorts and a tee shirt, or looser comfortable clothing, like baggy pants.

Please note that some dance classes may require special attire, so please consult with your class instructor if you have any concerns about what to wear. Additionally, when studios require specific attire it will be noted in the venue description in the ClassPass app.
